I really like how Germany does their beverages. A case is 20 bottles. Period. Not 18, 24, 30, and the big 36's of Naty light or PBR. (Although I like the lighter and cheaper beer in the summer). And now the 12 packs here have become 10 packs or 8 packs and the 6 packs have become 5 packs or 4 packs. I know variety is good, but it's getting confusing.
Now for the size rant. Too many sizes here. 7 oz mini beers, imports are coming in at 11.2 oz, stubby bottles at 11 oz., normal 12 oz, tall boys 16 oz. Need I go on?
I went to a restaurant. The beer was listed on the menu at 16 oz. The waitress brought me a 12 oz. beer in a glass. I told her it was 12 oz, she told me it was 16. I finished the beer, ordered a 12 oz. bottled Budweiser and poured it into the glass in front of her. When the beer filled the whole glass, her reaction was "Oh". I let it go. The micro brew must have been more dense, like my waitress. In Germany at a restaurant, two choices: at .33 liter pilsner, or .5 liter wheat or normal beer. Simple. At a beer tent: .5 liter wheat beer, or 1 liter normal beer. Simple. End beer size rant.
Willie - I just did the math and your neighbor is averaging 28 beers per day. You better get in on some of his parties.
Last night I had some more good Northwest choices: Red Hook IPA and Sessions Black Lager by Full Sail.
Another good "canned" beer is Dale's Pale Ale.
