      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So, last November marked two years since I first started barefoot running... And it was also the occasion of completing my first half-marathon. I did complete in the ridiculous time of 2h45, but part of that misperformance was also due to the course being extremely hilly and demanding. Anyway, I completed it, and that is now another milestone in my barefooting life!<br />

Ça entretient la motivation et rend plus vivant le forum !<br />

Cet aprem je suis parti faire 8km avec des huaraches V3 qui ont été calamiteuse <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" title="Big Grin    :D" /><br />
Le caoutchouc s&#039;est complètement écrasé et je me suis retrouvé avec 0.1mm de protection au niveau des métatarses des gros orteils.<br />
Du coup j&#039;ai un peu souffert quand...<br />

For most of use we just run our familiar courses and our bodies know what to expect and settle down into their conservation of energy mode reluctantly carrying out what our brains instruct it to do.<br />
I went to a sports field across the road from where I live to do a set of 10 x 150m sprints. The body puts up high resistance to these efforts. It&#039;s a real brain body battle.<br />

That said, these are the best shoes I have ever run in.<br />
A little background on me, so that it may help you decide if you&#039;re thinking about shoes to run in.<br />
I primarily run on pavement in various weathers.<br />
I&#039;m am casual runner, (half marathons are good enough for me)<br />
I always wore luna sandals with little complaint. When I moved to a place with a less agreeable climate, I got shoes because the smooth lunas were no good...<br />
