What beer are you drinking tonight? For the new forum...

ran with jason robillard tonight. after i had three beers. black butte porter by deschutes, my favorite. widmer brr seasonal ale, and rogue shakespear oatmeal stout. ate a cold kobe burger also.

Are you still whining about that burger Mike? I had a Rogue Dead Guy Ale, and a Widmer Seasonal something or other. Love the Dead Guy but the Widmer Seasonal was lacking.

my n my engrish. i had the beer and burger after the run. i believe i've had a beer before running, but def not three.

My reward for this evenings punishment intervals on the turbo trainer was a very large freshly shaken martini. I'm feeling rather relaxed now

Got some Rahr Stormcloud IPA. Rahr is an up and coming brewery out of Fort Worth and I really like everything they do. It is a bit lighter feeling than something like the Sierra Nevada Double IPA so I like it when i want something hoppy but lighter.

Weltenburger Klosterbier:

You have to click the 'yes, I'm 16 or over' link for the site to open.

Oldest monastery brewery in the world, founded in the year 1050a.d. They've learned a thing or two about beer in that time, lol.

Why this one? Because there are 100's of breweries in this region and I just pick one at random once in a while, or mix cases. They're all good.

Great choice Willie.

Have you ever been here? http://www.andechs.de/kloster-andechs.html

Just outside Munchen, great beer. I went there when I was about 17, two beers and some weisswurst later, I was a very happy teenager.

Wille, I travel to Germany every 5 years with my family to visit my wife's relatives. We stay in Schliersee and I try to do as much trail running/hiking and beer drinking as possible. My wife's uncle serves me Hopf weissebier and Holzinger hellbier. We like to hike over the hills and have a few at the Tegernsee Bräustüberl. Hopefully we make it over in 2013 or 2014. I learned on my first trip 20 years ago to take it very easy in the beer tents. More than 2 liters will put an American down and out.

Speaking of Germany, bier and not pacing yourself....I threw up on the bus on the way TO Oktoberfest in Munchen in 1999. I continued to drink once we got there, because I'm not a punk...but I definitely don't remember most of the people in the pictures my buddy took. The day ended perfectly however. We got into a fight with a couple of locals over some steins but the Polizei didn't arrest anyone. That's a win-win. That was also when Germany was still using the Deutsche Mark and the US dollar went far there.

I've been told I am officially an alcoholic by my significant other... hmmm. So maybe tonight I will drink water, or maybe that Ranger IPA calling for me, I mean water...

Dude, beer has water in it.

 and where's mine?

That is one of my favourite German beers

Just finished up midterms today, and the gas station off campus has a sale on Budweiser. Therefore, I shall be drinking Budweiser. I would also like to complain that every year there is always that one professor that makes an assn due the day we get back from spring break, yay linear systems!!!!

Home brewed sloe wine.

Strong stuff, and to be treated with caution after an hour of hot yoga. So I'm just going to drink it anyway
