Mileage Reporting 30th Week of 2013

Glad to see everyone's still plugging away here! Keep it up.
Where the hell have you being slacker?
full report please.

1 hour run at Rabbit Hill park 7.4 miles, hit a bunch of different speeds... fastest mile at 6:25 slowest 9:30ish...ave for the run 8:05 m/m. No hills and didn't walk any just for Dama!;)

Now, that's the way to do it!! way to go!!!

Ok where was I? oh yea,
Thursday, lower body st workout
Friday, .5 mi to a park near by and once there I worked on dips, push ups, planks, skipping rope with a 5 min loop of pure loose gravel followed by a .5 mile back to the fieldhouse for a total of 55 mins workout.
Why I didn't think about this before? the loop with the gravel I think its going to be a once a week deal but I'll be working on increasing the running loops till I can easily run at least a whole mile on it. Will see.

nearly two hour trail run today. tried to keep it at the same time as 2 weeks ago. i was able to "run" uphill today. i was just barely above my maf pace. my first hr zone is just above my maf pace and pushing anaerobic in my 2 zone. i'm kind of liking this. i ran today in a fasted state. definitely pushed it harder and burned through quite a bit of glycogen because i was tired and hungry when i finished.

i've been riding my bike to work. 17 miles round trip. about to go right now. it better get rid of this damn belly. tired of looking prego.

Do you run in a fasted state much? I do that too. At least once a week. Works great for me.

6.7 miles tonight. 8:40 per mile pace. Not a great run to be honest. Over did it. Hurt my calf/Achilles on my right foot and left knee. Felt it about mile five but just kept going. Walked a little then really took it easy home. It's hurting bad now. Gonna have to take a little time off running until its better. Bad times.

Another most excellent 6 mile run at 4:45 am, 85 deg., 62% rh... At 3/4 mile I heard 2 owls. At mile 3 I saw a few rabbits. At mile 5 I saw a screech owl very clearly on a wire (too cool). Mile 6.75 I saw another rabbit.
Feet good. Legs Good.
Note: Somewhere around mile 3 I started drifting into the flow. I do this often but sometimes I think my mind takes me away from this in fear of dosing off and stubbing my toe!

Elevation is no excuse:p

Howzabout fat and slow - is that a good excuse? :D

As for today, did a 30 minute abs class...I'm OK now, but methinks I'm a-gonna be hurtin' tomorrow...

My dad taught math and had my brother and I do an hour of math daily. We ended up a grade level or two ahead of our classes, and I think it taught us some valuable study skills.

See, in retrospect I envy the kids that had parents that could help with their homework; mine weren't able to (OK, maybe a little history, but that's it); they topped out at algebra and I was taking Trig. Spanish was a non-starter.

Well, my lil brother showed up the other day so I rested completely yesterday and today. Was pretty nice and am now well rested for my 7-12 mile hike and fishing I will be doing tomorrow. It will be a pretty tough hike in parts of it and I am really looking forward to it. Last time I hiked out to this spot was 6-7 years ago and it was absolutely breath taking, both beauty and with how hard of a hike it is. I am grinning ear to ear just thinking about it. I will be doing it in the monos but I will be bringing my vff speeds just in case I need something that covers the skin on top of the foot.

I know how you feel. :(
I was depressed today because I seem to have really aggravated my knee weeding. I thought I was being careful enough, but alas. :sour:
Dear hubby says it is "normal" to overdo it right before a big event and tried to cheer my up by saying that I'll be fine for the triathlon. I decided to not do any formal exercise today. Tomorrow I will keep it to light gardening and swimming, then another rest day Sunday. I might try easy spin biking on Monday and see how it goes.

I'm sorry, that sucks :( It's hard to take easy while things heal. I've gotten up this morning a little sore. The temptation is to "test it out" stretch my Achilles and see how it feels. Must resist temptation to put full weight on!!
Hope you heal up in time for the Tri! Look forward to reading the race report! :)
