Mileage Sept. 12-18th

Another PR Week. Got in 21 miles on 6 runs of 3.5 miles. This week goal:12 miles bare, 6.2 in VFF. (gravel trail race I could do barefoot, but Iwouldn't be too happy at the end of it! Or maybe very happy at the end of it!). Next week's goal:28 miles in 7 4-mile runs.

Very, very excited completing over 20 miles almost every week now, and an 8 mile run this week. A little tender after the 8 mile, so I'm not all the way yet, but doing pretty darn well!

Good job on getting over 20mpw, but don't increase your mileage too much. It less dangerous in the lower ranges, but its still generally a good idea to follow the 10% rule (never increase your amount or intensity of running by more than 10% per week.) You could probably get away with bumping it up to 4 mile runs, but I wouldn't recomend increaseing the distance your running and the number of days you run in the same week. It won't hit you after just one week, but if you keep it up long enough it can really mess you up. (I know from experience, I way overdid it adding 5-10 miles every week up to 70mpw this summer, and I was left unable to run in shoes. So I learned two lessons, don't wear shoes, and don't over do it.)
