Longest winter ever

Wow, this has been the worst winter of all time. We had so much snow I couldn't even get to the gym to run in shoes never mind barefoot. Luckily, we've had a break in weather, and I've had a break in my winter depression to get back out there.



So, this won't sound like much, but starting March 1st I did 30 steps, 3/2 - 60 steps, 3/3 - 90 steps, 3/4 - 120 steps. Out and back. A mile is 8-900 steps for me, so distance-wise, looks like .06 miles, .12 miles, .23 miles, and .30 miles. So, I'll probaby finish this week with 2 whole miles under my belt.

But, I'm running 7 days a week, and adding a 1/2 mile each week, so by end of March I should be up to 14 miles a week, and by end of April 28 miles a week. Not so shabby then - I didn't do a 28 mile week until September or October last year.



2011 GOALS: #1). No injuries, lots of fun. #2) 35 mile week barefoot. (7x5 miles). #3.) 4 5k races. Beat 22:30 #4.) Run 2 10K's. Beat 48:00. #5.) Run 1 Half-Marathon. Finish injury free, under 2 hours.
