    Ronnie,

I didn't know my cousins' name until a few years ago. Grampa gave everyone nicknames. He even went to the bank one cousin worked at and couldn't remember his real name when asking for him.

Yup - had a similar experience with someone I knew and had to ask for "Chopper."

How could I forget my nephew - Blumber. It refers to a very close haircut in the 50's and 60's in Bermuda -a "Blumber." Since he had his head shaved close every summer - the name stuck.

Bootstrap - because I'm a computer guy (bootstrapping has a technical meaning) and a hiker (my boots have straps in the back to pull them on). Also because I'm always trying to figure things out from the beginning (related to the computer concept), and to pull myself up by my bootstraps.

It has nothing to do with the Pirate in the movies. I used this nick long before the movie.

Initials and the way I spent my free time (and a lot of money :)) when I first discovered internet forums. I have kept the name the same for all forums. So if you see a macdiver somewhere it is me.

I've been using Ramzev for years, I think since my very first email account. To complete the name I'd be ramzeV evaD. I added "The" because I AM The Ramzev.

I earned that nickname in University when a few guys thought I looked like a hockey player who's first name is Josh. It stuck for my whole time in University and still to this day my girlfriend sometimes calls me Josh. Sixteen is just a number I like.

I needed a screen name for trolling and flaming, so "flame" in kinda finnished format almost makes it flammee(or not really, but atleast it's pretty unique, so I can use it on every forum). It also happens to mean some kind of apple... Flaming and trolling didn't just feel natural, so I quitted it before starting, but kept that screen name..

It's a Hopi name meaning restless one, which kind of described me well at the time I chose it as I was moving round quite a bit and hadn't settled down. Now it's my name on most forums and still fits in pretty well with my mind and generally active life :)

Mine doesn't mean anything, at least I think so. Got it from a film with Bogart (the maltese falcon, perhaps) as a kid & thought it sounded cool.

mine is very explicit lol, as soon as i discover (thanks to internet) that modern shoes deforms feet (which was obvious though) i started developing a hate for narrow toe box shoes, it's very stupid is like making a glove that is against human hand anatomy so deforms the fingers

Mine was a word I made up when I was 10 or something. I originally made it up so I could use it as a password, but as the internet evolved, a unique username that doesn't involve underscores or numbers became more important, and my password became my username. BTW, my username is no longer my password ;)
