Just trying to encourage people with options.Kudos to you, I have tried so many things to keep me occupied during the indoor biking but to no avail, I feel the same way as Nick and Lee.

Nice! no shoes either shoddie moka?Easy run/walk at Little Mulberry park, ran all the paved, gravel and horse trails plus a little extra...14.5 miles total in 2 hours 36 mins. Ran with no Garmin or shirt/hat just shorts, watch and water bottle...one water bottle was just right...walked 9 or 10 hills and did nose-breathing the whole way to keep the pace easy. One of the best runs I've had in a while...trails were wet, muddy and fun...temps good low 80's with lowish humidity 60%.
Wow, I do these same exact things while swimming!Everything from chatting with people, either in person or on phone, to studying Chinese by watching a movie in that language!

Well, I can only talk to myself and brainstorm for writing while I'm swimming, but I stay busy...Wow, I do these same exact things while swimming!
I think it's just preference. I love being outside, and in my current situation, running or biking is one of the few ways I get to connect to my former lifestyle. I can only run about five minutes on a treadmill before I begin to experience mental agony. Outside, I'm only limited by my fitness level. I tried machine rowing for many months, and would listen to my field recordings while doing so, but still, just not for me. I would imagine rowing on a real body of water would be great though. Different strokes for different folks.I think you guys might be approaching it wrong!
You'll have to learn how to use the keyboard a lot better and faster if you want to be in our league.Wow, I wrote a lot today I am either becoming Lee or Nick hard for me to decide which one at this point.
Nice! no shoes either shodless moka?
For me, usually all that's in the gym room is me and my toddler. My toddler talks a lot, but he's still a toddler and it's not very stimulating conversation. The cable is crap (I would barely consider it cable just because there is like 12-13 channels) in there so I can't even watch espn or anything like that, so then the tv gets put on opb for the wholesome kids shows for my son. So that leaves me with texting folks and annoying them at work or reading articles about my beloved Seahawks on my phone. I also have a huge love of being outdoors and since I've moved to Oregon most of my time has been spent indoors which I hate, the bike just adds to that.I think you guys might be approaching it wrong! I always find things to do on the stationary bike. Everything from chatting with people, either in person or on phone, to studying Chinese by watching a movie in that language! Things can be done differently on a stationary bike, than a treadmill, I think. busy, busy.
I'm going try to make it the whole year with just feets... I've never done that before!
Yeah, a lot of my work is outdoors, so the basement is a nice cool place after that. For me, usually all that's in the gym room is me and my toddler.
