I visited Two Rivers Treads owned by barefoot running-style advocate Mark Cucuzzella MD, FAAFP - Associate Professor Family Medicine West Virginia University, Lt Col US Air Force Reserves, and Chief Medical Consultant for the Air Force Marathon.Walking in off the street inShepherdstown, WV, I was greeted like an old friend by a barefoot employee who proceeded to answer every question I could think of regarding barefoot running and minimalist shoes. This young man was so helpful, when he did not have an answer; he opened a laptop and performed a search. He also recommended I take advantage of the free clinics they offer on injury prevention, basic running, and barefoot running. I took part in the Barefoot Running Clinic with Dr. Cucuzzella, and learned more in an hour than I have in months of self-taught effort.
