New glasses and a short run...

First run since Monday... I only got in 1.5 miles because we had to go get my glasses and I twisted my ankle a bit while out doing that.. so no second run when we got home... hopefully I'll be able to run tomorrow... if not, my next run will be Thursday. I am working Mon-Weds.. and with an 8 hour plus workday and 2.5 hours on the roads to get there adn home, there is barely time left for eating and spending a few minutes with family, forget running or anything else. The good thing is I have Thurs-Tues off, so I will have 6 days to run, the plan is to do at least a short distance all of them, and a longer one at least twice, possibly more... goal is to do 10-15 miles in that 6 day period if not more...

I am not exercise free on work days, just running free- I am a hospital dietitian and use the steps and not the elevator. I average 20 flights up and down each shift most days... it's not aerobic, but it is a good workout... and between that and running, I have great looking legs again.

I do need to find leather upper/rubber soled minimalist shoes (not VFF) to wear to work. I am thinking the new Merrell's if they fit me right.. need to find somewhere to try them on.. if not- probably going to get a pair of runamocs to use for winter outdoor running AND work...

I haven't been able to run outdoors in months.. and it might be awhile longer before it happens... we have enough snow on the ground that the expected 40 degree days will mean the snow will be melting and HOPEFULLY evaporating before it gets a chance to refreeze... so the ground will be too wet for outdoor running those days...
