No crew and no pacers of my own, not yet at least. There will be pacers available for anyone to (ab)use once it gets dark though and I have most of my family in the area for some support. They all think I'm nuts, but that's nothing new.
Yeah, the hydration/aid station bit. I'm certain I don't need a liter of liquid to drink every lap but I think I need more than half of that, I do sweat a lot. I'm going to do more exact calculations soon to figure this out. I'm also looking ahead at the other races I want to do and this is the most well-supported in terms of aid-station frequency so in those races, in warmer weather as well, I think I'd welcome the extra capacity. After all, I don't have to fill the bottles all the way up when I need less. I'm also considering going with only one bottle and "topping up" as needed at the aid station. And yes, having access to my own bag and stash of whatever essentials and bribes I have there is something I plan on taking full advantage of.
Video? You sure about that? I'm ugly and incoherent enough when I try to talk under normal circumstances. I have a feeling ultra-running wouldn't exactly do wonders for either of those.
