This pic is from the 4th of July block party, four days after we moved into our new home .
I been busy with the move for the past month, first it was all the packing and moving, then it is all the unpacking and general maintenance to the home , the guy that owned the house before us gave up and stopped watering the lawn so that has been a new project i got going on, but anyway, a couple of days ago i got to go on a run around the new neighborhood , I got home from work at 5am and felt pretty good so i changed into my running shorts and left the house by 6am . I made it a few houses down when I noticed how clean and even the sidewalks and pavement looked, so decided to take my Vff's off and give it a go .
this is my train of thought as it happened
well... just to the corner and then back home, that is about .0.20 of a mile .. get a feel for it
.oooh this is some nice sidewalk , and seems pretty clean , man my feet feel great !!
ok, i can try crossing the street, get some pavement cred' on my feet .
omg! this is awesome!! a little scratchy but freaking cool .
OH MY GOD I AM RUNNING BAREFOOT ON PAVEMENT . THIS IS SO MUCH MORE FUN!!!
hi neighbor ..... (waved)
oh crap i been running for 4 or 5 blocks I should turn around ... or i can go to the next street and turn around (still running on pavement)
YES !! YES!!! YES!! i think this is almost a mile if i turn now i should at least gone a mile and a half by the time i get home.
THIS IS AWESOME!!! oh hey am home !wow!
- once home i ran the route on the computer and got the total distance at a 1.68 mile in 17 min, barefoot! my time was average but my fun level was off the charts , once i showered and took a nap i went outside to see my new city and that amazing road it gives, i cant wait to do it again
