As a kid I was like everyone else except for I have autism. I also wore sandals as a kid but it just stopped in middle school. I was afraid that being barefoot was bad for me. It progressed in high school and college where the only time I went barefoot was swimming or in bed. It wasn't until I looked up former member Angie Bee and saw the TOMS day without shoes campaign. Then I was encouraged by Angie to try barefooting. And from then on, I was hooked. I even encouraged some of my friends and social workers to do barefoot walking with me and they liked it. I even take pictures of my shoeless journeys. I share them with Angie too because she and I are officially barefoot buddies. Feel free to ask me about my barefoot experiences if you want to know more.
How I started liking to be barefoot
