Fabulous "First Sunday Barefoot Run" on Siesta Key

Chris Gkikas and I enjoyed our "First Sunday Siesta Key Barefoot Run" today. This was the first event for our Florida Siesta Key Chapter and it was pure joy. Chris has written brilliantly about this on his blog. At one point we ran through sea puddles to a strip of sand about 30 feet off shore. It was like barefoot running on water. We were uplifted by smiles from folks enjoying the heaven blue gulf. Hope you guys can join us for our upcoming First Sunday Barefoot Runs. We have the Firecracker 5K on July 2. Then we will be back to our regular run on August7 at 9:00 AM by our trusty Yellow Lifeguard Hut on Siesta Key Beach, 948 Beach Road, Siesta Key, FL 34242.
