I live almost 100% barefoot, run more than 1,000 barefoot miles per year and am proud to serve as president of the Florida-Siesta Key Barefoot Runners Society. I was honored to launch the first International Barefoot Runners Day event on Siesta Key, FL in 2011. Did first barefoot runs on gravel for martial arts training decades ago, started again off and on 5 years ago, and have now been barefoot running three to four times per week for a year. Recently enjoyed running the Sarasota Half Marathon barefoot and am looking forward to the Marine Corps Marathon and running the Destin 50k barefoot in 2013. My passion is for promoting wellness and I earned my MSc degree with a dissertation in Cardiovascular Health Promotion.Interact
