Changing sensitivity...

Slowly, I'm adding more barefoot-distance into my runs.
Last friday, I ran about 500 m barefoot, half of in on rough chip-seal, the rest on what felt as 'velvety-smooth' concrete.
The chip-seal was a bit difficult, and it was quite a relief to arrive on the concrete part.

Today, I run (shod) in 'De Rammelaars', a small nature reserve in our neighborhood. I arrived on the tow path along the canal after a 5k run, and put off my shoes to run on the rough asphalt.

That's the way to do it, Anne. I know exactly what you mean about the relief of getting back onto a surface that feels comfortable for your feet. It took me a while, but my feet now feel better on chip-seal than on concrete. It's funny how our feet change as we keep running BF. Enjoy!
