Are they a gimmick to trap athletes or do they actually help recovery? Most of the powders I've seen tend to be whey based and I haven't touched dairy for years.
Are things like hemp powders effective? I know they have less protein but are more digestable, I wouldn't touch soy because it's usually GM.
Any thought of pearls of wisdom to share? Or is it just best to maybe eat a handful of almonds and drink some coconut water and woof a banana down me after a run. This is my normal process, keeping thing whole and unprocessed, but I have a niggling doubt that that's enough.
Just putting out feelers to see what other folk here do about protein and recovery supplements.
Thanks
