Oh my god, shock horror, someone thought of collecting evidence that barefoot running is no more injurious than running in shoes, who would have contemplated doing such a study..... Not the podiatrists that practice voodoo medicine that's for sure.

Yes, and isn't it interesting that authors of articles on barefoot and minimalist running always seek the opinion of podiatrists, and never PM&R docs who actually DO study barefoot and minimalist runners.
Next time anyone here is interviewed be sure to suggest to the reporter that they seek out a medical opinion from the M.D.'s and D.O.'s who are studying this stuff, a physiatrist. Much higher likelyhood of getting a positive endorsement.
