New Barefooter from NJ

Hey Guys, New barefoot runner since 12/2011 and im signed up for the Barefoot running festival in Boston in April to meet Ken Bob Saxton, Can't wait.

Currently training for the Ocean Drive Marathon in Cape May, NJ "my first marathon." I would really like to run unshod but ill keep my Vibrams in tow "just in case."

If any body would like to meet for a barefoot run hit me up.

Also having trouble with changing my name on the site? Any suggestions?

Hi there and Welcome!

Being from NJ you know the roads are pretty brutal for barefoot running. I am from Connecticut but ran the Long Branch NJ Marathon last May, barefoot. On a scale from 1-10, 10 being very barefoot friendly I would rate the marathon I did a 4, it was about 80% chip-n-seal. It can be done, but just giving you a heads up to start training on really tough roads, which I am sure you do already living in NJ

Where do you run / live in

Where do you run / live in NJ?

I work in Princeton and can work in runs hereabouts during the day when I feel like it. I know some real nice trails.
