I want to ride it bad, even though fit would probably be way off for me, seeing as how he got the whole 3D motion capture bike fitting service: http://www.retul.com/

Yeah just google "Cervelo P5" to see why it's awesome :p

Sweeeeeeeeeet ride!

I'm an Orbea man myself, but that is nice.

I had to do an emergency drive up to Seattle yesterday and there were so many of the sweetest bikes on the back of cars. Apparently the Seattle to Portland bike race was this weekend. Man it was a nice 5 hour drive. Lot's of nice bikes to drool over.

Laptop's about to die, but I'll post soem photos of the amazing bling I saw in a Singapore bike shop window

Not a TT machine, but fully specced up in the colours of the day, when you could still say his mane with pride

Sorry for the reflections. There was alot more bikeporn inside. Those Singaporeans seem to have a lot of spare cash!

I rode an R5 in Moab last year - awesome bike! As for that TT bike up there, that'd be waaaay too much for me. I'd have to lose about 30 lbs before I'd benefit from any of that carbon fiber goodness...

It's not just the the carbon fiber, it's the aerodynamic wind-tunnel designed shape about every single little bit and part.

Ha, yeah, but I don't know if mountain bikes existed then. Got that puppy in Capetown, South Africa after I traded in my 10-speed Peugeot for a Raleigh cross-trainer in Dublin, and then that kept breaking down in Africa. I still have it, my loyal stead. Not too fast, but it's held up really well.

Hippy? Or just really, really wanted to be seen?

Wind tunnel tested, mother approved...which means that I'd have to up my original estimate and lose 40 lbs before I would benefit from all that!

Excellent bike, tho...

That thing is worth more than my car.....

sadly, I know that is also worth more than the car that I totalled last week. I've just agreed the paltry valuation with the insurance company.

Yeah, several times more than mine.

Oh and he just told me that he did indeed get the Dura-Ace Di2-equipped version (electronic shifting system). The rear derailer alone is over $700. Around $4K for the entire Di2 setup. There are no shifter cables, only wires. There are shifting buttons up front, each derailer has a built-in servo, all powered by a small battery that lasts anywhere from 500 to 1,000 miles. The P5 frame even has a built-in pocket just above the bottom bracket to house the Di2 battery pack.

And get this, the front derailer even adjusts trim depending on the gear/chain position of the rear derailer, so no chain rubbing no matter what gear you're in!
