I think of rocks and snow with the occasional muddy day and black flies when I think of NH. You probably live in the nice part.
Now that I think of it I lived within sight of NH for a few years as a kid in Brattleboro.

Welcome to the crew, DevilDog. Oorah! I'm an old soldier, but I have a long-standing appreciation for Marines as well. Glad to have you with us. If you're simply a confused dog owner after this comment, nevermind, but welcome anyway.
I ran in downtown Atlanta for several years, and I used to occasionally see a Marine who could identify me as a soldier on sight, just like I ID'd him - he'd always give me a smart "DevilDog!" and I'd give him a "Hooah!" right back. Two warriors scattered among the wreckage of corporate humanity; it was a nice reminder that I wasn't the only sane, alert, relatively decent human being there.
