I have started doing finger tip pushups again. What a difference, I remember my basketball coach way back in the day lived by these, also Bruce Lee did as well. For some reason they are more productive than standard palm pushups, I guess they work the core better.
Anyways I came up with this exercise yesterday.
I am sure you have heard of plank holds, it's a common exercise for runners. The plank holds Im talking about is this: http://www.ab-core-and-stomach-exercises.com/images/side-plank-2.jpg
You begin in the standard pushup position, in the up position on your finger tips. Do two fingertip pushups, then right to a plank hold (hold this for about 5 or 10 seconds), then back to two more fingertip pushups, and repeat the plank hold with the other hand (hold for 5 or 10 seconds). Do a set of 10, which gives you a total of 20 fingertips push ups, and 20 plank holds.
Great upper body and core exercise.
