Excellent pictures, TJ. The first one (chip seal vs. asphalt) is particularly good because of the angle and lighting. The second one (from above) is more difficult to interpret. The only thing missing from these types of pictures is something to indicate scale. Geologists and paleontologists often include an everyday object or a ruler of some sort in their pictures so people can tell absolute size.
