Same area as that lady who was lost (and found with her cat) for three weeks. I know that area very well too - my mother-in-law lives on the Hot Springs Ranch in the Mimbres Valley which is next to the Gila/Black Range. They have mountain lion! More than likely, one of my mil's ranch members befriended CB & he is currently sitting in the hot baths (clothing optional of course).
She was found WITH her cat? She hadn't eaten it? Not that I would eat mine either; I'd rather starve, but geez, how did the cat STAY with her? Do you have a link to this article?
Thanks, Shorty. That's pretty amazing that they were both found alive, and that the cat didn't take off but stayed by her side. Just goes to show cats are just as devoted as dogs. Hee.

No news, huh? Sounds pretty grim. They say they've searched 15 miles out, but with the things that man could do, who knows where he could have gotten to.
32 teams of people searching today. I'm sorry to say I have no good news to report but I have no bad news either. We will be back on search in the morning."
Not to make light of a serious matter, but I had to giggle a little when I read this in the article about the search:
"It seems like we get something promising and it turns out not to be accurate," Fuller said. "We thought we had signs of the subject's footwear, but it turns out that he had actually left the gear in his truck."
Just seen that myself elsewhere as well. I wish I could have been more hopeful when he first went missing, but unfortunately it seems to end like this more often than not.
