Hello. Been running shod for a number of years and always have wanted to go minimal. Recovering from a torn meniscus repair has opened the barefoot door.

I just started training again after a 9 month layoff and have been running a mile each day at lunch. At the end of each run I have been taking off my shoes and completing the last 200m barefoot. Last Friday I did the whole mile barefoot. :)

Each time I took off my shoes I noticed the slight knee pain that I still have disappears. :D

I just received a pair of Xeros and plan to train in them as much as possible unless the snow is flying.

Welcome to the group. My name is Rick or Rik on the Utah Chapter presidents. You will find allot of knowledgeable people on this site. My wife and I live in Centerville Utah. I run weekly and I am happy to share any knowledge I have. We are looking for other runners who share our same passion. minimal or barefoot we welcome anyone who loves to learn and enjoys the benefits of running minimal.
