i have a hard time watching most people run. not that i'm perfect.

Maybe next batch will be fully built up boat anchors but with toe pockets.

Oh dear, well I guess just like you can't get people from guzzling sugar in drinks and food you can't stop them making stupid decisions about shoes.
I've given up trying to convert people. The saying "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink" is the most apt analogy when it comes to running in big bouncy shoes.
I'm just contented to have saved heaps of money by not buying the stupid things, not buying orthotics and running better than I have in years.

Well, I don't think it's possible to make sheer masses of people understand that when foot hits the ground, it's not the same amount of force with shoes and without shoes. So, people naturally think that if there's more cushion between foot and ground, softer the hammer foot hits the ground. ;)

Buuuut, I personally don't have much against those new maximalist shoes. I just don't use them. Atleast they are not anymore about motion control or making the drop greater or having some ridiculous rocker sole.. It's just cushion.

I actually really like the vibrams with cushion, not because I like cushion or think that they are great for running, but they seem really good for free running. Because some of that stuff really hurts the feet without cushion.

i saw a meme of a horse saying "you can lead people to knowledge but you can't make them think". true.
