My barefoot running life in 2010 vol.1

This post is 1st blogs about my barefoot running life on here. I also was shocked by a book same as many barefoot runner. It was “Bron To Run”. I found out the article about the barefoot running in the magazine Nature before it was published in Japan, and also I had got some information about the barefoot running on Dailymile. However it gave me big surprise, shocking and an opportunity to review any elements of all I need to run about training methods, thoughts, food, shoes and more.

Below is my history about the barefoot running life in this year.

January: Finished to read the magazine Nature

February: Finished to read “Born To Run”

March: Bought VFFs and tried to just walk in VFFs

April: Kept on just walking in VFFs and got an interview of newspaper

May: First barefoot run in VFFs on the half marathon

June: Completed the ultra marathon 100km in VFFs

August: The talk show in Apple store in Shibuya, Japan and completed the trail race 30km in VFFs

October: Achieved my PB of the half marathon in VFFs at 1h 35m 38m

November: Achieved my PB of the full marathon on real barefoot running at 3h 39m 55m

December: Started to write the documentary of Japanese barefoot history

I will post about my method before theultra marathon 100km on last Jun.

Wow, that is a staggeringly rappid transition from walking to doing a half marathon in 2 - 3 months I guess. I have been going about 2 months (I think) and have only just done 1/3 mile this morning (full BF, no VFFs)! I must say that the tiny hit of endorphines I feel following my little run do make me want to run & run already but my running history is littered with too much too soon so I will try to just take it easy (but oh how I want to run & run & run)!

Well done.

:santa:

That sounds like a very successful year, Yamada. When you are ready to share your race report, I'd like to put it on the BRS's home page, as well as your documentary.
