Barefoot on the Aldridge Creek greenway

Ran an LSD barefoot with the wife yesterday from the start of the Aldridge Creek Greenway to Ditto Landing on the Tennessee River and back, about 7.5 miles. Pace was about 11min/mile average to build endurance. I'm at 25 miles for the week now. The LSD run was going great until i jammed the ball of my right foot on a slab of concrete that had upheaved from the pathway. A bone jarer from toe to head! :-( Huge flying stumble and i almost landed on my head, but no lasting injury except to my pride...and thank goodness no paparrazzi were shooting video at the time, lol. Good thing i don't have that problem!!! ;-)

Oops...almost fogot the rest: The moral of this story is always run barefoot with your toes pulled up, not down. If ya gotta stub something on a slab of concrete, better to stub the ball of your foot. This technique saves your toes from toe...um...jam. ;-)
