Hey, it's Monday!
This morning - 10km around the streets at home. Cold (7C) and dark to start off. I was only planning on doing 6km, but I couldn't find any sort of mojo for the first 3 or 4km and I only really started enjoying it once I got going, so I decided to run a little further once the daylight arrived.
An old lady told me "You must have tough feet" to which I replied "I don't know, I can't feel them". It was the truth. I think I'm going to have to reconsider doing longer runs on rough surfaces in the dark when it is cold and wet underfoot - the last few runs have really taken a toll on my feet and today I'm limping around the office. I thought everything was going OK, but feeling returned with a vengeance in the shower and I'm now sporting some red skin on the ball of my foot below the second toe where most of the abrasion tends to happen. No blisters though, but it feels like I should have some. Oh well, live and learn.
