I've got my first race of a busy October coming next Saturday, and based on today's run, I think I'm ready. The race is a 5K, which I usually don't bother with, but this one runs by my front door, literally, and I couldn't resist. It is going to be my actual debut in BF racing, so that's something.
Anyway, todays's run just went so well, I could hardly help but say something. I got out late, and due to complications, I had the 5 year old in the stroller with me. We hit the paved Schuylkill River Trail and did a nice easy 5 miles, out and back. Outbound I ran 26.5 minutes, warming up slowly, inbound, 21. The feet and all their supporting equipment (legs, lungs, back, head and heart) were happy to be along. Everybody we passed had a nice word for Josie, who was quick with a wave and a smile herself.
I just couldn't have been happier and easier of mind and heart by the time we finished.
Happy running, all!
