Rainy weather has started here in Portland and temps are starting to drop. Yesterday as I was driving my kids to school we rounded a corner and saw Mount Hood cloaked in white for the first time. I'm not a snowboarder yet but it was calling out to be enjoyed, kind of like a perfect wave that doesn't go any where.
Been trying to shake some knee pain so the mileage has been way down. I keep telling myself that I'm not going to run so I can heal 100% but after a couple days I break down and am out running and smiling again.
I'm taking the time to work on my pads by running on a wet fireroad with plenty of gravel. Seems amazing how much harder on the feet wet, cold ground is. After just a half hour run this morning my pads are tender which is a feeling I'm enjoying.
