Spring!

It's a good time to be a runner in Portland right now. Flowers are blossoming everywhere and temps broke the 60's for the first time today. On a quick 3 miler this afternoon I could SMELL flowers for the first time since I-can't-remember-when. Absolutely beautiful.

Coming from the tropics and having never experienced a real Spring before (sorry California Springs don't cut it in comparison), it's pretty freakin' amazing. :):):)

ya the changes of seasons here are small compared to other places but they are very nice. just wait though. right now everyone is sick of the rain and crying for sun, when it gets here in July everyone will be crying it's too hot.

Just thinking about it makes me want to go running. Compared to California it's rockin' here and compared to Tahiti it's totally off the charts. Never lived in a place as cold as here so it seems pretty spectacular to me.It's all relative I guess.

I'm from California, and it's true, California doesn't see spring like we do here in the South, that's for sure. It is gorgeous here in the spring! Color everywhere! I so enjoyed my run around the pre-Civil War plantation and victorian homes of historic Newnan this morning with a new friend. Everything is in bloom. I wish spring would last longer. -TJ
