18F with 15 to 25mph winds for 5 miles earlier today.

VFF's served just fine. I wore my new ones because the old ones, which generally work well, have a hole in one toe pad and holes in the material along the sides of a few of the toes. Pretty drafty.

Oh, and I can testify to the truth of the warnings about cotton against the skin. The only cotton I wore was my briefs, and as soon as I started to sweat a little I could feel icy cloth sucking the warmth out of my nether regions. I was just glad I didn't have any more of it against my skin.
