Happy One Year Anniversary, Lems™!

But wait, what is Lems™, you ask? Oh yeah, that's the new name for the shoe company formally known as LEMing, and once heard of as Stems. We hate to switch it up on you, AGAIN, but we were a bit unsatisfied with the sudden change from Stems to LEMing, and after a lot of thought we have decided to settle on Lems™ (we promise). Lems™ is an acronym which our company wholeheartedly stands by and that is 'Live Easy & Minimal'. We are still a very small operation, so small that we have just recently hired our first full-time employee, Steve Perna (current writer of this newsletter... Hey, pleasure to meet you!).
Through all of the ups, downs, and turnarounds, Lems™ has reached the one year mark. Most of you know our past and the certain bumps we have experienced, but just in case you missed it, here is a brief recap. An aspiring young man, by the name of Andrew Rademacher, set out to quell his insatiable hunger for healthy, comfortable footwear. After college, his passion for footwear quickly flourished into a shoe obsession. Yet, he still couldn't quite understand why since the birth of contemporary footwear, the 'shoe giants' were designing shoes that caused not only extreme discomfort, but also unnatural foot problems. Thus, he took the burden upon himself to design the perfect shoe. Like David, he was one man setting out to challenge the Goliaths of the shoe industry. On September 15, 2011, after two long years of research, sketching, designing, and developing, Andrew finally reached his solution, Stem Footwear. The shoes hit the market with a soft launch, making available only one style of shoe. Since that time, the company has sold over 8500 pairs of that shoe worldwide, acquired over 35 retailers throughout the United States and Canada, and has far exceeded his projections for its' first year out. Along the way there have been a few misfortunes. On March 1, 2011 Andrew was forced to immediately change the name of the company, due to trademark issues with a particular clothing outfitter. Then, in the midst of that major transition there was a mishap with one of the orders from our manufacturer, which forced Andrew into recalling an entire shipment of shoes. But, fear not, for he has arisen from the dust and is here to set your worries at ease. Throughout 2013 we will be releasing 5 new shoe styles, each offered in 3 fresh colors thus totaling 15 new shoes for 2013, and several new shoes are currently under development for 2014.

Yay Lems! I'm looking forward to the business-oriented shoes you've talked about. I'd also like to see business-appropriate shoes that have uppers made of alpaca or wool fiber. Your camp loafer design would be perfect for that.
