Don't get me wrong. As someone who was previously obese, I've tried various restrictive diets.
I now keep it really simple. I have a different vegetable and a different protein each night. Then some fruit, nut butter with a simple carb. Perhaps a secondary vegetable and fruit, cottage cheese, tofu. Maybe some chocolate or ice cream as an indulgence.
Okay, maybe that's not simple at all! However, there's a ton of variety. I don't take a multivitamin because I have a varied diet. (I once read a quote by a French longevity expert who said that he didn't take supplements, because his wife is a good cook!)
I don't choose or compare. I just have a rotation. It's like how I pick out my shirts for work. I have enough for a few weeks. I wear and wash five each week, and stick them in the back of the line.
Boring! However, there are more important things to worry about than food and shirts.
