Ocean City, NJ Boardwalk - Good or bad place for a BF walk?

Well I think when im out there i will go without shoes and see what happens. Guess I can always go back to the car to get the flips. Sure seems hard to imagine having to wear shoes near a beach.

Gee is a person even allowed to get in the water? Several years ago while staying at the Harrahs Casino in Laughlin, NV my wife and I walked down to the beach area along the river on the back side of the hotel and walked up to the edge of the water and was immediately yelled at for being too close to the water. I was confused as the casino has a beach area there with tables, chairs, and sun loungers so It looks like a nice beach but we were told to leave. Still dont get it today.

I bet I wont be the only person there breaking that rule. But maybe the locals will be whipped into complying with the rules and I will be the only one barefoot there. We will see.

I will watch where im stepping though like always. Splinters and nails dont worry me so but glass can be another thing. Sometimes glass can be not so fun. Especially the kind that is so fine or small that it can barely be seen by your eye but can definately be felt.

You kind of have to understand NJ to know why these laws are on the books. People here will sue any business or town for any reason. We have more lawyers than any other state and they will swoop down like vultures on a dead buffalo for even the smallest personal injury case. The laws are in place to protect towns from Joe Schmoe getting a splinter and claiming because of such grievous injury he is no longer able to pleasure his wife and now he deserves a million dollars.

Here’s what you need to know:
A boardwalk is made of boards.
These boards may be made of wood.
If you walk barefoot on wood, there is always the chance you will get a splinter.
If you get a splinter it may hurt a bit.

In all likelihood, you are not going to be given a ticket for being barefoot. If getting a splinter concerns you, go to Long Beach Island. As someone mentioned they don’t have boardwalks. Plus it is one of my favorite beach areas.

(I am not a lawyer and the above should not be construed to be legal advices)
