I am not a fan at all wearing socks with Five Fingers. But I prepared myself for a day like this, we got 15" on snow last night and I took a 4.5 mile run in my KSO's with NuWool socks, wow! Not once did my toes get cold, in fact my feet felt overly hot. And I was running in snow, slush, and all that stuff.
I had the normal injinji socks for last year for winter and they did nothing. NuWool is pretty amazing.
