In the beginning of my transition to BFR I got quite familiar with blisters. The usual ones, visible, and painful, that would stop me running for a couple of days.
As the form improved and plantar skin got conditioned more they stopped showing up.
For the past year and half I have not seen a single one.
Until now.
10 days ago I finished a road half marathon (chip&seal, wet).
There were no blisters after the race. I just felt the balls of my feet quite sore for a day.
Two days later the feet felt great so I went back on my regular running schedule.
To my big surprise after 10 days something I would call DDTB (Delayed Deep Tissue Blisters) found their way out.
Everything already nicely healed up. Hadn't I looked down I wouldn't even know.
Long live the human body healing abilities !
