I had to take a 3 year break from running due to illness. I didn't think I'd ever be running again - but I am!
I used to like marathons and ultras but having started again from scratch I'm aiming for 5,000 and 10,000 metre cross country races this winter. Barefoot - because I think it's better for the body - no more footwear for me!
I'm lucky because I've always been fond of walking around barefoot so my feet are in good shape. Training wise I'm only up to 6k 4 days a week - But I'm doing it at an ok speed so while I've LOADS of room for improvement I'm having fun.
