4.2 miles today- 2.7 wearing my Sockwas and 1.5 miles BF. It was cold and windy today, 27 degrees with 30 mph wind. Other than a few ducks huddled together in the limited patches of open water, it felt like I had the entire state park to myself. I wish that I could figure out how to upload photos to this site. There are some really impressive ice dunes built up along the Lake Erie shoreline.

5.8km on Monday and 8.75km this morning. Both good runs. Reckon we're through the worst of Winter here now (famous last words, I know!). It's good to be running back in the dry for a change...:)
(DF - It's a while since I uploaded any photos.. I think in the past I've saved them as a small file first on my laptop and then used the upload-a-file button below.. But I could be wrong...)

3.8 miles today with sun and a mostly dry road and 38 degrees. About half of the run was BF and the rest with my Sockwas. Saw some ducks and geese and some crazy people venturing up on the ice dunes. Ill-advised because they are honeycombed and you can occasionally fall through and die of hypothermia.
Thanks for the hints on the photos Tedlet. I took this photo this evening before my run. The dunes have been shrinking some this past week or so since it's been mostly above freezing the whole time. They were more impressive-looking several weeks ago. Still somewhat foreign looking I'm sure though if you have never seen the Great Lakes in the Winter

Boulder and I did a 5 mile run Tuesday and a 3 mile run Thursday. It was in the upper 40 deg. f. range with very little wind. We were back in Dallas. We spotted some rabbits.

    7.1km today..
Little bit chilly again (just below freezing), but the ground was dry and there was no wind -so an enjoyable run. Nice to be running in the daylight again too!..:)

DF -nice picture. I imagine it's quite hard work running through that dry sand too...

Actually, I don't run in the sand unless I'm at the ocean on the packed sand near the water- that's the best!
I mostly run on asphalt roads and a multipurpose trail. Running in dry sand is a killer on your calves until you get used to it. I've learned that on more than one occasion

Boulder and I did a 8 mile run this morning at 6:00 am. The moon was bright and cool (I could see it the whole run). With the moon we had a great sunrise! We heard 2 roosters crowing and some geese. We spotted woodpeckers, ducks, robins, starlings, doves and squirrels.
