I got in quite a lot of running last week, most of it barefoot, all of it below 50 degrees in terms of outside air temperature, but, of course, all of it both maritime and urban, in this distinctive micro-climate of New York City, with sources of artificial heat. I got in two Central Park loops of six-miles each and one 13-mile South Brooklyn-to Central Park run (Mom's Assisted Living to my place), all barefoot, plus another 13-mile Brooklyn-to-Manhattan run in my thin-soled 5-dollar clogs. So that's 25-miles barefoot and 13 minimalist.
