Boulder and I did a 4 mile run at 5:30 am. It was 55 deg. f., 12 mph wind and 94% rh. There was almost a fog in the air. We had a good go at it!

7km at the beginning of the week and another 10km today.. ran a little quicker than usual on the first run, just because it felt good. Nice and steady again today- good run...:)

10k BF today in soggy and windy 48 degrees. I was satisfied with my run, but disappointed with the condition of my feet- pretty sore with a couple of toe blisters. Cold and wet with wind is just never a good combination. I had footwear with me too but was just too lazy to stop and put it on. Oh well, give it a few days and all will be good.
I ran on Presque Isle State Park which is a 14 mile long sand spit that juts out into Lake Erie. Very scenic nature preserve with a multi-purpose trail around it. This is where I do the bulk of my running. I saw a few walkers and some duck hunters, but no ducks. I don't know if that's a good or bad sign for the ducks.
My run today was as an entrant in a virtual 10k race which the Erie Runners Club sponsored. Every other Thanksgiving they sponsor a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot that draws thousands of runners. This year there were only a few hundred participants in this virtual event. The virtual run just consists of registering and paying for the sweatshirt that they provide and then running the event that you registered for, namely 5k,10k, 5k walk or both runs. You then send in your time to the race organizer.

8.5km this morning. Pretty cold and foggy too by the time I'd finished. I think the temperature was probably around -1C to zero C, so made sure I wrapped up in a few layers to keep the core nice and warm. Pathway was a bit cold where it was still wet, but otherwise ok in the dry... Nice run to start the day..:barefoot:

Boulder and I did 3 more runs this week.
    We went 4 miles Thursday.
    3 miles Saturday.
9 miles today. It was 42 deg. f. today at 6:00 am still dark for the first few miles. We spotted a few ducks flying, green parrots flying and cedar wax wings. The roads were totally damp from last nights rain. Really great outing :D.

I did not know that there were parrots in Texas. That is really interesting. My son went to Barcelona Spain a few years ago and there are thousands of them flying around the city. It looked so foreign to me to see a bird in the wild that I am accustomed to seeing in a cage.

The parrots are not native here. They were probably brought in as pets. There are small groups of them and they some how survive though the winter. They are mostly found building elaborate nests around the Electrical high lines, near Substations.

13km to finish off the week on Sunday. -Early start and ended up going a little further than I had intended when a started out, but seemed to relax into it quite easily & just got a bit carried away I guess...:)
