Boulder and I did a 3 mile run Tuesday at 4:30 am. We spotted some rabbits and the sky was clear.
7km yesterday morning for me. It's still not as cold as it normally is here for the time of year, so running conditions are pretty good (aside from the seemingly continuous rain of course...).
We went 4 miles today. Not as cold as normal here either. 55 deg. f. at 5:00 am. Still clear skies lots of stars.
Really great outing!
I did 4.8 solitary miles last night in the dark with my trusty headlight. I think it was around 30 degrees but not much wind for a change. I went the first 2.5 breaking in my new Sockwa X8's, then took them off for 1 mile BF, and then finished up with the footwear again, The ground is getting pretty cold now and my feet get numb after 15 minutes of running. Not many people or animals out and about in the dark.
I like the Sockwa's. I run pretty much exclusively BF April-October and have not really found a winter footwear option that I have liked. These Sockwas are basically a very thin water shoe with excellent flexibility and ground feel. The sizing is a little weird and I wish that they had more toe room.
8.5km yesterday -couple of laps of the lake.
Nice steady pace & lots of mud!...
4 mile BF run around my neighborhood on this grey 40 degree day. Lots of acorns to watch out for. Saw some walkers out today, and on 2 separate occasions, seeing that I was barefoot, they commented that " hey, that's good for your feet". I agreed with them.
6 mile run this morning at 5:30 am. 61 deg. f. 82% Rh with no wind. Cool moon and stars and caught a great sunrise! Spotted some rabbits, cedar wax wings and 1 armadillo.
How cool is that, seeing an armadillo! Rest assured, running in Erie, Pa; that is something I will never see.
12km run Saturday morning. Nice end to the week, even if it was wet ..again!
Bald Eagles... armadillos... I think I'm living in the wrong country!
