4 miles on Tuesday at Presque Isle. It was our first mild summer-like day with temps in the low 70's. I saw and heard lots of different kinds of song birds, saw some Purple Martins who have finally arrived from their migration from Brazil, and saw 1 deer ( a doe ). I was able to do the entire distance pain-free, so that was a good thing. The ground was nice and warm for a change, though it still feels sticky from all of the Cottonwood tree sap. It was all-in-all a really pleasant experience.
Boulder and I did 3-3mile runs this week. Tuesday at 4:30 am. Thursday at 4:30 am. Sunday at 6:00 am. It was in the mid 60 deg. f. range and not much wind. We heard owls, turkeys, roosters and lots of birds. We spotted 1 owl, horses, 1 skunk and Mississippi kites. 3 great outings!!
4.5 miles at Presque Isle on Saturday morning. Another beautiful sunny day with temps in the 60's- perfect running conditions. Not too crowded for the start of a holiday weekend. I saw and heard several catbirds and robins and saw a lot of sea gulls. Leg felt OK throughout
