They look pretty thick compared to what most people who post here run with--at least a 1/4" midsole. No measurement is given on his site, but it says it "gradually imparts more stress to your feet." I guess that's just the EVA compressing from use.

I agree they look pretty thick and STIFF. Not sure I would like the over the toe strap either. I give him kudos for making a different kind of sandal than the traditional huarche style. I also think they look better than the Teva Zilch models.
 
The Tarahumara run in even

The Tarahumara run in even thicker sandals. Theirs are made out of car tires.
