so I'm active duty army stationed in Washington, I'm not a barefooter exactly but I do most of my running in five fingers.. too much glass to risk it. looking forward to learning more about this stuff

Welcome! Thank you for your service. :barefoot:

Hooah, Army! Got any wool? I work and run at Fort Bragg, about half-and-half barefoot and five fingers. When you go barefoot, just imagine you're running while on point - keep your head up, your eyes down to watch really closely 6-8 feet in front of you with your peripheral vision scanning forward, left and right. It's a lot of fun. Do check post regulations before BFing though. Fort Bragg and 18th AB Corps have none against BF running, but many commands on post supplement with their own directives prohibiting VFFs or BF. Welcome to the crew; we're glad to have you with us.
