Can you describe them, for those of us who are having trouble seeing what they are made of?

Do they slip at all?

I'm guessing that they don't help much in keeping your feet warm in Winter. What are they for?

only tried it these past summer, winter time I'll wear it w/ 2 layer of socks, Its basically a work hand gloves that I retrofit in my feet, it has a thin rubber on the sole. very useful on rough, hot pavement.

no slip, the white elastic strap prevents slipping.
I'll write later the history how I come up w/ it and how it helped me in really enjoying marathon racing.

I have run w/ it on trails, you just have to get used to very soft landing w/ it.
