Just wanted to say Hi
I'm originally from Germany (and usually go home for the summer & Christmas), but study in Scotland atm.
I came across BF running in 2006 (after reading about it in a German book "Die Laufbibel").
That summer I started to run a few minutes BF each week (on top of about 40km in motion control shoes). Unfortunately I gave up the BF running when the winter came...
The following years I managed to run 2 full marathons and increase my mileage to about 100km/week (training for an Ultra) which must've been to much as I developed severe achilles tendinopathy (that was last May)
Had a few weeks rest, but when I started running again, after only 3km the tendon would flare up again. So had more rest (...) and during that time I read Born to Run (as many here I guess).
So I thought "why not give that a go", and started BF running and indeed managed to get back to about 50km/week (BF). Kept that mileage pretty stable for a few weeks (was my commute to/from Uni) but out of nowhere my AT flared up again .
So basically I haven't been running since November and thought that this time around I'll keep things nice and slow. Have been BF walking for about 2 weeks now and hope to implement some BF running from next week and hopefully get back up to 40-50km/week by September...

Edit: Just realised how much I just wrote... So apologies for the novel
