I have been running from June most of my runnings somehow by barefoot devices. In August I just run perhaps too long runs in too short time period. I get very painful around my left achilles; it was around heel but not sinew. I just drive bicycle instead. It was around 25 km run... Perhaps I run too much by this way [; )
I have Bikilas and when it is rather cold here in Finland now I have been running with Deep Sea neoprene shoes. They are cheap and soon when it is snow they are rather are durable.
