I don't own one of these, but I really like the concept. I don't even like wearing a hat, so I know a headlamp would make me crazy...

Anyone use a green or red

Anyone use a green or red light to run? I have been looking for a headlamp/flashlight with a red LED/filter to preserve night vision, not great for cars seeing you i suppose, but I think it might be nice on trails so that you can see the areas outside the light spill.

any thoughts on this?

This is what I use, it is bright enough to blind any would be attacker and melts the snow away from in front of you.

OK, maybe not that dramatic but it is a great light.
